Counseling

In case of an difficult life situation, difficulties in relationships, or while dealing with any other unfavourable circumstances, students of BISLA are offered a proffesional counseling free of charge.

BISLA has a contract with 2 professional counselors:

Peter Malina is a graduate of Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius.
In the past, he worked in the corporate sector in human resources and clinical trials, where he gained experience with various types of interactions. He also gained experience at DSS Most day care center where he volunteered as a psychotherapist. 

As a psychologist and psychotherapist in training, he works in various institutions – in an Outpatient Clinical Psychology Practice, in the League Against Cancer, and via K sebe platform. He is a participant in long-term depth-oriented – psychodynamic training and specialises in individual psychotherapy under supervision.

Our psychologist, Mgr. Monika Eliašová, is a clinical psychologist with several years of experience in the field of mental health, offering professional psychological support to our students.

She completed her postgraduate specialization in clinical psychology at Comenius University. As part of her clinical practice, she worked in a clinical psychology practice, and for the past several years she has been working in a psychiatric department, where she focuses primarily on diagnostics, individual and group therapy, and supporting patients through complex life situations.

Her main therapeutic approach is psychodynamically oriented psychotherapy, and she has completed specialized training in EMDR therapy – a trauma-focused method designed to help process distressing experiences.

At our school, she provides individual counseling and psychological support to students who are going through a difficult time or who wish to better understand themselves and develop their potential.
