From stress to clarity

Each month, as part of BISLA’s support system for new students, our mentors participate in workshops led by our coach and former sociology instructor, Danka Ahern. 🤍
These sessions equip mentors with valuable knowledge and skills to foster a welcoming and safe environment for you, our future students.
However, we are all human beings, sometimes under academic pressure, so instead of hosting regular workshops, Danka suggested to host a panel focusing on how strong our thoughts can be in shaping our reality, sometimes leading to unnecessary worry and self-doubt. Through guided activities and reflections, we discovered that things may not be as challenging as they seem. Plus, we received a gratitude journal to help us stay grounded and focused on the positive sides🤗.
It was an eye-opening experience that reminded us how small shifts in perspective can transform how we approach our emotions and challenges.
Big thanks to @jadudova (Mentorship Program Coordinator) for organizing such a great event 💖
