Announcement of the Election of a Candidate for Rector of the Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts

The Academic Senate of the Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts (hereinafter referred to as the “BISLA Academic Senate”), pursuant to Art. 5 para. 4 of the Statute of the Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts, hereby announces the election of a candidate for the position of Rector of the Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts (hereinafter referred to as the “BISLA Rector”) for the term of office from 2026 to 2030.

The election of the candidate for Rector of BISLA will take place at a meeting of the BISLA Academic Senate on October 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Arendt room at the Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts, located at Grösslingova 53, Bratislava.

The deadline for submitting nominations for candidates for Rector of BISLA is from September 3, 2026, until October 9, 2026, at 12:00 PM (nominations must be delivered by this time).

Nominations for the position of Rector of BISLA must be submitted in physical hard-copy format. Nominations shall be addressed to the Chairperson of the BISLA Academic Senate in a sealed envelope marked “Návrh kandidáta na rektora BISLA” (“Nomination of a candidate for Rector of BISLA”) to the following address:

The nomination must be delivered by October 9, 2026, at 12:00 PM; late proposals will not be considered.

At the time of submission, the nomination must include the following attachments:

  • a) Personal and contact details of the candidate (first name, surname, academic titles, mailing address, email address, and phone number),

  • b) A concise professional curriculum vitae (CV) of the candidate,

  • c) Written consent of the candidate to the processing of personal data for the purposes of the election of the candidate for rector,

  • d) A solemn declaration (affidavit) by the candidate stating that they meet the conflict of interest and incompatibility conditions under § 20 para. 9 of Act No. 300/2025 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments to Certain Acts (Higher Education Act) as amended by Act No. 121/2026 Coll.,

  • e) A statement by the candidate expressing their formal consent to the candidacy,

  • f) A solemn declaration (affidavit) by the candidate that they meet all statutory requirements for holding the office of rector,

  • g) Written consent of the candidate to the publication of their first name, surname, and other personal data contained in the nomination document and accompanying documentation, as well as the publication of their CV.

If the nomination does not contain all required attachments, the nominated candidate will not be included in the list of candidates for the position of BISLA Rector.
